Tumbahamfe emerges victorious in UML Taplejung presidency race



TAPLEJUNG: Dambar Dhoj Tumbahamfe clinched the presidency of CPN-UML Taplejung in a resounding victory.

The triumph came during the 12th district convention of the party held on Tuesday.

The election committee disclosed that Tumbahamfe secured a notable 26-vote lead over his closest rival, Bal Bahadur Samsohang.

Joining Tumbahamfe in key roles are Dipendra Pomu, elected as party vice president, Santosh Chamling as secretary, Gopal Neupane as deputy secretary, and Bhimadevi Ojha as deputy secretary for women.

A total of three hundred and sixty-seven representatives from various parts of the district participated in the convention, underscoring its significance.
