KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently experiencing the influence of westerly winds, local winds, and a low-pressure system originating around Bihar in India.

Presently, the skies are partly to mostly cloudy across the nation, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

Light to moderate rainfall is occurring in select areas of Madhesh Province, Bagmati Province, and Koshi Province, with isolated occurrences in Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province.

This afternoon, the country is expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy.

There’s a chance of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in hilly regions, and light rain with thunderstorms in some Terai locations.

Additionally, there’s a likelihood of light snowfall in select high hilly and Himalayan areas.

During the night, cloud cover will persist across the country.

The Division has anticipated light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and gusty winds in certain areas of Koshi Pradesh, Madhesh Pradesh, Bagmati Pradesh, Gandaki Pradesh, and Lumbini Pradesh, and isolated occurrences in hilly regions of other provinces.

Moreover, there’s a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hills and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
