JSP-Nepal holding Central Executive Committee today

KATHMANDU: The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal led by Upendra Yadav is holding a meeting of its Central Executive Committee today.

The meeting will review the latest developments and the party split.

The party has also decided to hold a press conference following the meeting to make public the official opinion of the party.

Meanwhile, the party has already decided to seek legal recourse regarding party split.

An informal meeting of the party held at Balkumari on Tuesday took the decision to this effect, according to Manish Suman, JSP-N Spokesperson.

It may be noted that a faction of the party led by Ashok Rai had sought the legitimacy of the party with the Election Commission of Nepal and the Commission on Monday officially recognized the Janata Samajwadi Party led by Rai as a new political party.

Leader Rai had garnered support from seven members of parliament at the time of submitting application to the Commission.
