NC Prez Deuba calls office bearers’ meeting in Budhanilkantha

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has summoned a meeting of the party’s top leaders.

The meeting is scheduled to take place at President Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha on Monday morning to deliberate on the party’s parliamentary engagement.

According to Deuba’s secretariat, both current and former office bearers have been invited to attend the meeting.

The NC has called for the establishment of a parliamentary inquiry committee to address allegations against Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane regarding cooperative fraud.

As a result of the NC’s obstruction, Home Minister Lamichhane has been unable to address parliament.
