KATHMANDU: The 9n-AAN chopper of Air Dynasty helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing after encountering a bird strike during its flight from Kathmandu to Lukla on Friday morning .
Despite facing technical issue following the bird strike, the helicopter returned Kathmandu safely.
According to TIA spokesperson Subash Jha the bird strike occurred around 10 am during the helicopter’s flight, leading to the emergency landing.
The incident has affected regular flights departing from Kathmandu Airport.
Due to adverse weather conditions, Qatar Airways’ flight, with the scheduled landing sequence of 646, had to go-around (to initiate another climb after a failed attempt to land).
The pilots opt for a go-around to ensure a safe landing by avoiding potential risks in such cases.
