KATHMANDU: Renu Dahal, the Mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, has been bestowed with the prestigious International Mayor Award in the United Kingdom.
Mayor Dahal was felicitated during a ceremony held at the House of Commons, the federal parliament building of the UK.
In addition to Mayor Dahal’s recognition, Mayor Sadik Khan of London was also honored with the Local Government Award, while Ameenah Fakim, the first female president of Mauritius, received the esteemed International Woman of the Year Award.
