KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently under the partial influence of a westerly low-pressure system, according to the Weather Forecast Division.

Presently, the mountainous areas, including parts of the Sudurpaschim Province, are experiencing mostly clear conditions.

Throughout the afternoon, the weather is likely to witness a transition to partly cloudy to mostly cloudy weather in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Meanwhile, the rest of the provinces will maintain mostly clear conditions.

There is a likelihood of light snowfall in select high hilly and Himalayan areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim, as well as a few spots in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

Nighttime will bring mostly clear skies to the hilly areas, including the Sudurpaschim Province.

However, other provinces can anticipate partly cloudy conditions.

Notably, Gandaki, Karnali, and select high hills and Himalayan regions in Sudurpaschim Province may experience light snowfall.

Given the potential for light snowfall in Gandaki, Karnali, and a couple of locations in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Sudurpaschim Province, the Weather Forecast Division has urged residents to take necessary precautions.

This precautionary measure is advised due to the potential partial impact on daily life, including agriculture, health, tourism, mountain climbing, and road and air transport in these areas.
