Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Airee joins ILT20 franchise Gulf Giants

KATHMANDU: Exciting news for Nepali cricket fans as Dipendra Singh Airee, a prominent all-rounder from Nepal, has been signed by the ILT20 Official franchise Gulf Giants for the DP World International League T20 Season 2.

This announcement, made by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), marks Airee’s entry into the highly anticipated tournament, which features six teams comprising both domestic and international players.

The DP World ILT20 Season 2 promises intense competition, with the winners set to claim a substantial prize of USD 700,000 along with the prestigious tournament trophy.

The final showdown is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 17, at the Dubai International Stadium.

In addition to the grand prize, individual awards await outstanding performers throughout the tournament, including recognitions such as Best Batter of the Tournament, Best Bowler of the Tournament, Best UAE Player of the Tournament, and Most Valuable Player of the Tournament, each carrying a prize of USD 15,000.

Additionally, players will be awarded USD 1,500 for being named Player of the Match in each of the 34 matches.

The tournament schedule is packed with thrilling matches that started from January 19 and culminating in the grand finale on February 17.

Matches will be held at prominent cricket venues including the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Dubai International Stadium, and Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

This signing not only signifies a significant achievement for Dipendra Singh Airee but also underscores the growing prominence of Nepali cricket on the international stage.
