NC leader Krishna Sitaula files nomination in Koshi Province for National Assembly election

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Krishna Sitaula officially entered the race for the upcoming National Assembly (NA) election by filing his candidacy in Koshi Province.

The nomination process took place in Biratnagar, where Sitaula presented his candidacy papers, backed by nominators Pradeep Sunuwar and Himal Karki.

This move comes as a strategic decision by the NC, offering Sitaula an opportunity for election to the National Assembly after facing defeat in the House of Representatives (HoR) election against Rajendra Lingden, Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party.

The ruling alliance has allocated 10 seats to the Nepali Congress.
