NC finalizes 10 National Assembly candidates

Shekhar Koirala’s faction gets 3 seats



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has finalized 10 candidates, including former General Secretary Krishna Sitaula, for the upcoming National Assembly (NA) elections.

Candidates from various provinces were finalized during the Central Working Committee meeting of the Nepali Congress.

The selected candidates include Krishna Prasad Sitaula and Anand Prasad Dhungana from Koshi Pradesh, Bishnu Devi Pudasaini and Jeetjung Basnet from Bagmati Province, Krishna Rokaya from Karnali, Narayan Dutta Bhatta and Baldev Bohara from Sudurpaschim, and Padam Bahadur Pariyar and Kiran Babu Shrestha from Gandaki.

Additionally, Bishnu Devi Sapkota will represent Lumbini.

Notably, Padam Bahadur Pariyar, Kiran Babu Shrestha, and Bishnu Devi Sapkota represent the Dr. Shekhar Koirala faction.

The nominations for the National Assembly election, which will feature 20 seats, are scheduled to be registered today, with the election taking place on January 25.
