KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has said that the country is currently under the influence of the monsoon winds.

Currently, there is a significant weather change across the nation. Many areas in the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and some areas in other provinces, are experiencing light to moderate rainfall.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be mostly cloudy nationwide, with the possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in many areas across all provinces.

There is a chance of heavy rainfall in a few places in the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and some areas in the Madhesh Province.

Moreover, isolated places in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces may experience very heavy rainfall.

Tonight, the weather will remain variable.

The Division has advised people to exercise caution to prevent risks associated with potential disasters such as landslides, flash floods, and riverine floods.

Furthermore, the Division has urged people to take necessary precautions as these weather conditions may partially impact daily activities including agriculture, health services, tourism, mountain climbing, and transportation by road and air.
