KATHMANDU: The weather today is characterized by a dynamic mix of influences, with westerly winds, local air currents, and a low-pressure system swirling around Bihar, India, impacting conditions across the nation.

Currently, the skies are partly to mostly cloudy in Sudurpaschim Province, Karnali Province, Gandaki Province, Bagmati Province, and Koshi Province.

In some pockets of Gandaki Province and sporadically in Bagmati and Koshi Province, light to moderate rain showers are occurring, while elsewhere the weather remains clear.

As the day progresses, the weather is expected to be cloudy, with the possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in various parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini states.

Additionally, isolated areas across the nation may experience sporadic thunderstorms.

Furthermore, there’s a chance of light snowfall in select highland and Himalayan regions.

Heading into tonight, the cloud cover will continue, with the likelihood of light to moderate rain showers, once again with thunder and lightning, in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Similar conditions may prevail in other provinces, albeit in fewer locations. Additionally, there’s a slight possibility of light snowfall in specific high-altitude areas.
