Nepal to bat first against Gujarat in SMS Friendship Cup finals



KATHMANDU: Nepal is geared up to take the batting stance first against Gujarat in the finals of the SMS Friendship Cup, to be held in Vapi, India.

Having faced Gujarat twice in this T20 tri-series, Nepal emerged victorious on both occasions.

In the previous match, Nepal suffered a defeat by 37 runs against Baroda.

During the initial encounter of the SMS Friendship Cup, Nepal secured a comfortable eight-wicket win over Gujarat. Following this, Nepal achieved victories over Baroda by 27 runs and Gujarat by eight runs in subsequent matches.

With an impressive winning streak of three consecutive victories, Nepal secured a spot in the finals even before completing its final group stage match.
