Variability expected in Nepal’s weather: Brief rain and thundershowers forecasted in hilly regions



KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued a weather forecast indicating partly to generally cloudy conditions in the hilly areas of Nepal today.

In contrast, the rest of the country can expect partly cloudy to mainly fair weather.

There’s a likelihood of brief rain or thundershowers at a few places in the hilly region of Gandaki Province, while other hilly areas may experience these conditions at one or two places across various provinces.

Additionally, light snowfall is anticipated at one or two spots in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country.

Tonight’s forecast predicts a continuation of similar conditions, with partly to generally cloudy skies in the hilly areas and partly cloudy to mainly fair conditions elsewhere.

Brief rain or thundershowers are expected in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi Province and Gandaki Province.

Similarly, there’s a possibility of light snowfall at one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province and Gandaki Province.
