KATHMANDU: Three major political parties, CPN (UML), CPN (Maoist Center), and Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplab’, have jointly appealed to voters to support Suhang Nembang, the CPN-UML candidate for the upcoming by-election in Ilam-2 on April 27.

Suhang Nembang, son of the late party leader Subhash Nembang, has been nominated by the CPN-UML for the by-election.

In a press statement issued recently, the leaders of the three parties urged voters to rally behind Suhang to secure victory in the election.

Furthermore, Prime Minister and Chairman of Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Chairman of UML KP Sharma Oli and Biplab have established a high-level committee to coordinate efforts for the by-election in Ilam.

The by-election in Ilam-2 has been necessitated by the unfortunate passing of lawmaker Subhash Nembang, who previously represented Ilam in the House of Representatives.
