PM’s accusations against ministers reveal inefficiency and lack of accountability: NC Chief Whip Lekhak

KATHMANDU: Chief Whip of the Nepali Congress (NC), Ramesh Lekhak, has commented that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ should take responsibility for any inefficiency in the cabinet and cannot escape by merely alleging ministers of incompetence.

During the House of Representatives meeting on Thursday, NC Chief Whip accused the Prime Minister of betraying the coalition by breaking it.

“The Prime Minister’s decision to break the coalition is not only a betrayal to the NC but also undermines the commitment to consensus made to the public during the elections,” stated Lekhak.

He emphasized that the NC feels compelled to label this as political dishonesty due to the harm inflicted not only on the party but also on the public.

Lekhak clarified that the Prime Minister’s actions have created instability in the country.

He expressed concern that the Prime Minister’s deviation from the coalition has not gained him the respect of the public but rather diminished his standing in their eyes.
