Janamorcha Party withdraws support from Dahal-led government

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Janamorcha Party has officially withdrawn its support from the government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

In a press statement issued on Thursday, party Chairman Chitra Bahadur KC announced the decision, stating that the party can no longer extend its support to the current administration.

Moreover, the party criticized Prime Minister Dahal for appointing Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), as the Home Minister stating that this decision was made despite an ongoing investigation into Lamichhane’s alleged involvement in cooperatives fraud.

The CPN (Maoist Center) has formed a new coalition with the CPN-UML, RSP, and CPN (US), resulting in a Cabinet reshuffle on Thursday.

This move effectively breaks the alliance with the Nepali Congress and other parties.
