Country is ‘progressing’ only in corruption and looting: RPP Chair Lingden

KATHMANDU: Rajendra Lingden, Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), has asserted that the country is witnessing progress only in terms of corruption and looting.

During Wednesday’s session of the House of Representatives, RPP Chairman Lingden conveyed the party’s stance and criticized the government for falling behind in various aspects.

“The only areas advancing are corruption and looting,” stated Lingden, adding, “it’s not a matter of where to look for corruption; the situation is such that you have to search for places without corruption. Nevertheless, the government emphasizes good governance and development.”

Lingden highlighted an escalation in corruption during the rule of post-democratic governments, pointing out irregularities in projects such as Ncell, TERAMOX, and others.

“Members of Parliament and ministers are on the run list, and there has been no resolution to the issue for four years. How can such a government ensure good governance?” he questioned.

Lingden clarified that the RPP remains steadfast in its commitment to progress, stating, “We have collectively forged new agreements and are prepared to guide the country in a new direction.”
