Kathmandu Valley records a chilling low of 3.3 degrees Celsius

KATHMANDU: The minimum temperature of Kathmandu Valley, which recently hovered above 6.5 degrees, has experienced a significant drop to 3.3 degrees Celsius today.

Having peaked at 6.7 degrees Celsius on February 5, the minimum temperature declined to 3.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, with today’s measurement even lower at 3.3 degrees Celsius.

Although initially measured at 5:45 am, the official minimum temperature for today will now be recorded at 8:45 am, according to meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari of the Weather Forecast Division.

Meteorologists suggest that if the night sky is clear, the minimum temperature in the morning will decrease, whereas a cloud-covered night sky may result in an increase in the minimum temperature.
