UML finalizes Bagmati province candidates for NA elections



KATHMANDU: In preparation for the January 25 National Assembly elections, the main opposition party, CPN-UML, has reportedly concluded the selection process for candidates in Bagmati Province.

Bhakta Lama, the deputy secretary of UML in Bagmati Province, confirmed that the party has finalized the list of candidates for the upcoming NA elections.

The selected candidates from Bagmati Province are Rochakumari Chaulagain from Dolakha, Bivek Devkota from Kathmandu, Dhruva Bishwakarma from Dhading, and Nirmal Paudel from Chitwan, as announced by Lama.

In a strategic move, CPN-UML has opted to nominate contenders for all 19 available positions in the upcoming National Assembly elections. The registration of candidates for these elections is scheduled to commence on Monday, January 8.
