NA election: NC holding meeting to finalize candidates

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC), a major partner in the ruling coalition, is holding a meeting of the Central Work Execution Committee today.

The meeting, initially scheduled for Saturday, has been rescheduled for Sunday due to a special reason.

Krishna Prasad Poudel, Chief Secretary at the NC party office, mentioned that the meeting, originally set for 1:00 pm on Saturday, was postponed to Sunday.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the National Assembly election.

Office-bearers and members of the Central Work Execution Committee have been invited to participate in the meeting, he stated.

The meeting has been summoned as the deadline for candidate nominations for the January 25 National Assembly elections approaches on January 8, prompting the Nepali Congress to strategize and decide on its contenders.
