Bhutan King returns home after visiting Swayambhunath and Boudhanath



KATHMANDU: Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck, who was in Nepal for an unofficial visit, has returned to Bhutan.

Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana was present to bid him farewell at Tribhuvan International Airport.

King Wangchuck, who arrived in Kathmandu on Friday morning via New Delhi, India, paid visits to the iconic Swayambhunath and Boudhanath stupas, offering prayers at both sites.

After a brief stay of five hours in Kathmandu while transiting on his way back from India, the Bhutan King has now returned home.
