Gold price drops by Rs 600 per tola today



KATHMANDU: The price of gold, which had increased for two consecutive days, decreased today, while silver has become more expensive, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation.

Today, the price of gold has dropped by Rs 600 per tola, bringing it to Rs 150,100. Yesterday, it was priced at Rs 150,700 per tola.

Last week, the price of gold had fallen sharply by Rs 18,500 per tola over two days.

Meanwhile, the price of silver has risen by Rs 10 per tola today, increasing to Rs 1,890. Yesterday, silver was priced at Rs 1,880 per tola.

The decline in gold and silver prices follows the government’s reduction of customs duties.
