KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that the influence of monsoon air is still being felt across the country.

A low-pressure system affecting the eastern and central regions, along with northern Bangladesh and areas around West Bengal in India, is contributing to this weather.

Currently, the weather is mostly clear in many parts of the country, with the hilly areas experiencing partial cloudiness.

Light rain has been recorded in a few places in Gandaki Province, as well as a couple of locations in Bagmati and Koshi Provinces.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy nationwide.

The Division has indicated a possibility of light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in select areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, as well as isolated spots in the remaining provinces.

Tonight, the weather is forecasted to be partly cloudy to mostly clear in the hilly areas, including Koshi and Madhesh Provinces, while the rest of the country will also see partly cloudy to mostly clear conditions.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur in a few locations within Koshi and Bagmati Provinces, and sporadically in the remaining provinces.
