4-year-old boy dies after being hit by motorcycle in Jhapa



JHAPA: A four-year-old boy died after being hit by a motorcycle in Jhapa.

The incident occurred in Kankai Municipality-5, Chapramari, when the child, Aryan Tudu, was hit by a motorcycle last evening.

The motorcycle, traveling from Surunga to Jhapa Bazar, hit Aryan.

He sustained severe injuries and was initially treated at Birta City Hospital in Birtamod before being transferred to B&C Hospital.

Despite the efforts to save him, the doctor pronounced him dead upon arrival, according to the District Police Office Jhapa.

The 24-year-old motorcycle rider, Basanta Mukhiya, from Jhapa Rural Municipality-2, has been arrested in connection with the accident.
