Kathmandu witnessing rainfall since early morning

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu has been witnessing rainfall since early morning today (Friday).

Meanwhile, at present, several areas in the country are witnessing partly to mostly cloudy conditions, including rainfall.

Meteorologists have reported that rain is currently affecting many parts of the country.

They have attributed this to the influence of monsoon air, which is bringing varying degrees of precipitation across different regions.

A few places in the Koshi, Madhes, and Lumbini provinces are experiencing rainfall accompanied by thunder, lightning, and gusty winds.

This afternoon partly to mostly cloudy conditions will continue over the hilly areas, including the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

The rest of the country will see a partial change in weather.

The Weather Forecast Division has predicted light to moderate rain in the afternoon, along with thunder, lightning, and gale-force winds in a few places in the hilly areas and a couple of places in the plains.

Tonight, partly to generally cloudy conditions will prevail over the hilly areas, including the Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

The weather in the rest of the country is expected to remain partly cloudy.
