KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the foreign currency exchange rates for today (Tuesday).
With the US dollar reaching an all-time high, several foreign currencies have depreciated. The pound and Australian dollar, among others, have fallen in value today.
According to the NRB, the buying rate for 1 US dollar is NPR 133.86, while the selling rate is NPR 134.46.
This represents the highest value of the US dollar recorded to date. The US dollar has been appreciating steadily over the past few weeks.
Yesterday, the buying rate for 1 US dollar was NPR 133.71, and the selling rate was NPR 134.31.
Similarly, the Euro has become more expensive today.
The buying rate for 1 Euro is NPR 146.56, and the selling rate is NPR 147.21.
Yesterday, the buying rate for 1 Euro was NPR 145.86, and the selling rate was NPR 146.52.
For the British pound, the buying rate for 1 pound is NPR 170.62, and the selling rate is NPR 171.39.
Yesterday, the buying rate for 1 pound was NPR 171.14, and the selling rate was NPR 171.91.
The buying rate for 1 Australian dollar is NPR 86.31, and the selling rate is NPR 86.70.
Yesterday, the buying rate for 1 Australian dollar was NPR 87.05, and the selling rate was NPR 87.44.
The buying rate for 1 Kuwaiti dinar is NPR 438.35, and the selling rate is NPR 440.32.
Yesterday, the buying rate for 1 Kuwaiti dinar was NPR 437.89, and the selling rate was NPR 439.86.
For the Bahraini dinar, the buying rate is NPR 355.11, and the selling rate is NPR 356.71.
Yesterday, the buying rate for 1 Bahraini dinar was NPR 354.67, and the selling rate was NPR 356.26.
