CM Singh of Madhesh province wins vote of confidence



KATHMANDU: Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh of Madhesh Province has secured a vote of confidence in the provincial assembly.

CM Singh received support from 67 lawmakers out of the 107-member assembly, while 34 lawmakers voted against him.

The assembly’s composition includes 24 lawmakers from CPN-UML (excluding the Speaker), 22 from Nepali Congress, 13 from Janamat, nine from Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, 19 from JSP, nine from Maoist Center, and seven from CPN (Unified Socialist).

Additionally, the RPP, Nagarik Unmukti Party, and Sanghiya Samajbadi Party each hold one seat in the assembly.
