UML calls PP meeting to discuss role in Parliament



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has called a parliamentary party meeting to discuss its strategy following the withdrawal of support to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

The meeting is scheduled for Sunday at 10 AM in the Lhotse Hall of the Parliament Building. All UML MPs have been instructed to attend.

Chief Whip Mahesh Bartaula stated that the meeting aims to discuss the UML’s role in the upcoming House session, which convenes tomorrow.

After forging a power agreement with the main opposition, Nepali Congress (NC), the UML leadership plans to brief party lawmakers on the strategy to defend their recent political moves.

Prime Minister Dahal is set to seek a vote of confidence on July 12.
