Flights halted after rift emerges on runway at TIA

KATHMANDU: Both domestic and international flights have been suspended due to the emergence of a rift on the runway at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

Jagannath Niraula, the Director-General at TIA, confirmed the halt in flights.

The suspension has lasted for more than an hour as efforts are underway to restore operations on the runway.
