Two bodies found alongside motorcycle in Dakshinkali

LALITPUR: Authorities in Kathmandu’s Dakshinkali Municipality were alerted to a grim discovery as the bodies of a man and a woman were found near a motorcycle in the area’s rugged terrain.

SP Navaraj Adhikari, spokesperson for the District Police Complex Kathmandu, confirmed the incident, stating that the bodies were found in a ditch in Dakshinkali Municipality-8, Kerabari.

“We suspect they perished in a motorcycle accident,” Adhikari said.

“The deceased individuals, a man and a woman, are believed to have been involved in the accident several days ago,” he stated.

Efforts are underway to identify the victims.

The motorcycle, bearing the registration number Bagmati Pradesh-002 Ch-027 3812, was also discovered at the scene, indicating the likelihood of an unreported accident due to the challenging terrain.

The bodies were located on Wednesday evening, prompting authorities to launch an investigation into the incident.
