PM Dahal to grace India PM Modi’s swearing-in ceremony in Delhi

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda is set to join the swearing-in ceremony of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking his third term in office on Saturday.

According to a tweet by Sudhir Chaudhary, an Indian journalist, Prime Minister Dahal, the Bhutan King, the Sri Lankan President, and the Prime Ministers of Bangladesh and Mauritius will grace the event.

In 2014, Modi’s historic swearing-in ceremony, following a resounding victory for the BJP, witnessed the participation of foreign leaders, underlining India’s inclusive diplomatic outreach.

Notably, Modi extended invitations to the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) nations, initiating discussions on India’s “neighborhood first” foreign policy.

In a continuation of this tradition, Modi’s upcoming ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, has exclusively welcomed SAARC leaders, underscoring India’s commitment to regional cooperation.
