KATHMANDU: Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Padam Giri, has said the government is preparing to ensure a digital platform to seek and incorporate public submissions regarding existing acts and laws.
In his address to the 12th AGM of the Federation of Distributors’ Association of Nepal here today, the Minister said the government thought of developing such a digital mechanism as it sought to address unwanted obstructions caused by the law for any areas to function smoothly.
“It is the responsibility of the State to address the citizens’ concerns over unnecessary legal hurdles in any profession or occupation. If anyone else is not finding opportunities or is encountering challenges due to laws, it has been urged to visit the government’s forthcoming digital platform for submissions,” the Minister said.
As he said, based on such submissions, discussions with the bodies concerned and respective ministries will be held to revise the existing and to formulate new ones.
Federation Chair Hari Raj Pant urged the government to recognize the roles of distributors legally, urging the State to develop its positive perception towards this sector.
