KATHMANDU: A clash has erupted between activists supporting the Rastriya Mukti Andolan led by Rajendra Mahato and the police in Kathmandu.

Following the announcement of a special program by the Rastriya Mukti Andolan, a demonstration led by Mahato was organized in the Bhadrakali area.

During the event, when it was announced that the rally would proceed to the prohibited area near Singha Durbar, the police attempted to stop it.

Subsequently, a clash ensued.

In the clash, two police personnel and three demonstrators were injured.

Reportedly, the police have taken control of some of the demonstrators.
