KATHMANDU: The weather forecast for today indicates partly to generally cloudy conditions in the hilly areas, with partly cloudy to mainly fair weather expected in the rest of the country.

Light rain or thunder and lightning are likely to occur at a few places in the hilly regions of Gandaki Province and Karnali Province, as well as at one or two parts of hilly regions across the other Provinces, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

Additionally, there are chances of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country.

As the day progresses into tonight, the hilly areas will continue to experience partly to generally cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to mainly fair weather.

Light rain or thunder and lightning are expected at a few places in the hilly regions of Gandaki Province and Karnali Province.

Furthermore, there remains a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country.
