KATHMANDU: CPN (Unified Socialist) is still deliberating on whether to join the newly formed government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
PM Dahal recently formed a new coalition government, excluding Nepali Congress and partnering with CPN-UML, RSP, and JSP.
To address this decision, the party has delegated the task of meeting with PM Dahal to three party leaders: Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, Pramesh Hamal, and Ghanshyam Bhusal.
In a secretariat meeting held earlier today, these leaders were tasked with representing the party’s stance.
While the party views the proposal positively, it has outlined several conditions. The leaders have headed to Baluwatar to discuss these conditions with PM Dahal.
According to party spokesperson Jagannath Kathiwada, the conditions are as follows:
Increase in production and resolving economic crises
Protection and promotion of national welfare
Eradication of corruption and establishment of good governance
Mitigation of inflation and addressing public grievances
Maintenance of a balanced foreign policy and diplomatic relations
