RSP secures four ministries, including Home Affairs

KATHMANDU: In a latest development, four ministries have been confirmed for the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in the Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda-led cabinet.

The decision, made during a meeting of the task force on Wednesday, has paved the way for RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, to assume the responsibilities of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister.

Sources said that the task force has allocated ministries to the RSP, assigning the Ministry of Labor and Education, in addition to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

DP Aryal has been named as the Minister of Labor, having recently taken the oath of office.

Aryal had previously served as the Labor Minister a year ago, but his tenure was cut short.

Sumana Shrestha, representing RSP, is set to take charge as the Minister of Education.

Likewise, Biraj Bhakta will be appointed as the Minister of Sports and Youth.

Consequently, the RSP has secured four key ministries in the government formation.
