4 die as bus plunges into Trishuli river



KATHMANDU: Four passengers died when a bus traveling from Kapilvastu to Kathmandu veered off the road and plunged into the Trishuli River at Dhading on Wednesday morning.

DSP Shailendra Thapa, co-spokesperson of the Armed Police Force, provided details stating that four individuals lost their lives in the accident.

However, 33 passengers were rescued by a team dispatched from the Nepal Disaster Management Security Base in Adamghat.

The rescue operation involved a team of 20 individuals, including six divers, who worked tirelessly at the accident site.

Despite the rescue efforts, the specifics of the incident, such as the bus number and detailed circumstances leading to the accident, are yet to be disclosed.

The authorities are actively investigating the event.
