Unified Socialist calls Standing Committee meeting

KATHMANDU: The Unified Socialist party has called a Standing Committee meeting for December 11 and 12.

Deputy General Secretary Rajkumar Bhattarai stated that the meeting will focus on the division of responsibilities among the party’s leaders.

The Unified Socialist, which held its general convention in July, has yet to finalize the distribution of tasks among its leaders.

Although a task force has been formed under the leadership of Chairman Madhav Nepal to appoint department heads, district in-charges, and leaders for commissions and people’s organizations, no consensus has been reached so far.

The meeting will also review the results of the local-level by-elections and discuss recent political developments, Bhattarai said.
