Gold price sets new record in domestic market

Fine gold reaches an unprecedented Rs 150,000 per tola



KATHMANDU: Gold prices have once again surged to a new record high, with fine gold reaching an unprecedented Rs 150,000 per tola on Monday.

The surge of Rs 300 per tola adds to the already record-breaking spike witnessed in recent weeks.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, fine gold is priced at Rs 150,000 per tola.

On Sunday, fine gold was traded at Rs 149,700 per tola.

Meanwhile, the price of silver decreased by Rs 10 per tola, bringing it to Rs 1,775 per tola.

For reference, one tola is approximately 11.66 grams.
