PM Dahal to face floor test on July 12

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will undergo a floor test in the federal parliament on Friday, July 12.

This decision comes after the CPN-UML withdrew from the government on Wednesday, leading to Prime Minister Dahal seeking a vote of confidence.

The government’s stability was compromised when the coalition partner, CPN-UML, and the main opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC), agreed to form a new coalition under UML Chairman KP Oli’s leadership.

Previously, on March 4, Prime Minister Dahal had ended his alliance with the Nepali Congress and formed a new coalition with the support of the UML and Rastriya Swatantra Party.
