Promotion of PoAHS remains government’s top priority: PM Dahal

GANDAKI: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has expressed confidence that Pokhara will offer a more favorable atmosphere for medical education once the proposed Pokhara Medical College becomes operational.

Addressing the 7th Senate of the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences (PoAHS) today, the Prime Minister stated that the Academy’s aspiration to start MBBS classes will be realized in the upcoming fiscal year.

He directed the Academy’s management to implement a systematic calendar for the institute’s operations.

“The government is hopeful that the Academy will emerge as a leading medical institute once MBBS classes commence,” said the Prime Minister.

He added that, despite limited resources, further development and promotion of the Academy remain top priorities for the government.
