Nepal witnessing mixed weather conditions today



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported a partial influence of local air, westerly air, and a low-pressure area extending from Uttar Pradesh to Bangladesh in Nepal even today.

Currently, the weather is partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly regions of the country, including Koshi, Madhesh, and Karnali provinces, while it is partly cloudy to mostly clear in other areas.

Several locations in Koshi and Gandaki provinces and a few spots in Madhesh and Karnali provinces are experiencing light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.

This afternoon, the weather will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in the mountainous regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, a few areas in Madhesh, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, and isolated spots in other provinces.

There is also a possibility of storms in isolated locations in Koshi, Madhesh, Karnali, and Lumbini provinces.

Light snowfall may occur in one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of the country.

Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy to mostly clear over the hilly parts of the country and partly cloudy to mostly clear over the rest of the country.

There is a likelihood of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali regions and isolated locations in the rest of the country.
