Nepal sets 185-run target for Netherlands in T20I series finals



KATHMANDU: Nepal has set a target of 185 runs for the Netherlands to chase in the finals of the tri-nations T20 International series.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Nepal concluded their innings at 184 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Aasif Sheikh top-scored for Nepal with 47 runs, supported by Kushal Bhurtel and Captain Rohit Poudel contributing 20 and 25 runs, respectively.

Gulsan Jha and Kushal Malla added 34 and 26 runs, respectively, to bolster Nepal’s total.

In the bowling department, Fred Klaassen, Timm van der Gugten, Michael Levitt, and Sybrand Engelbrecht each claimed two wickets for the Netherlands.

With a target of 185 runs to win, Nepal will now look to defend their total and secure the title in the T20I series finals.
