NC holding CWC meeting to discuss political developments



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) is holding a meeting of its central working committee (CWC) today to discuss and analyze the current political developments.

NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba summoned the meeting at his residence in Budhanilkantha at 3 pm, Krishna Prasad Poudel, the Chief Secretary of the NC Central Office, said.

Given recent shifts in the political landscape, the committee will engage in discussions and analyses of these developments, he said.

Poudel stated that the meeting’s main agenda is to scrutinize recent significant events and developments.

Despite the provision for 46 members in the CWC, the current count stands at 37 members.

With the establishment of a new coalition, including parties like CPN-UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Janata Samajwadi, and others, the Nepali Congress has convened this CWC meeting to assess implications and strategize accordingly.
