Doctor’s License Exam: 56.68% pass in NMC’s examination



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Medical Council (NMC) has disclosed the results of the doctor’s license examination.

In the 68th license examinations conducted by the Council from January 30 to February 2, only 56.68% of medical professionals have successfully passed.

The Council has reported a combined pass percentage of 56.68%, with 55.96% for medical and 61.05% for dental candidates.

In the examination, 737 candidates participated in the medical category, and 285 in the dental category, bringing the total number of examinees to 1,022. Compared to the previous 67th medical registration certificate examination, where only 46% of candidates passed, this year’s pass rate has shown improvement.

Candidates dissatisfied with the examination results can request a re-evaluation by submitting an application to the Council’s email, along with a fee of one thousand five hundred rupees, within 35 days from the publication of the result, as per the information released by the Council.

For those who have passed the examination and wish to obtain the registration certificate, an online application must be submitted within 35 days of the information publication. NMC informed that providing the certificate takes around 15 days once it gets request from the passed candidates.

Applicants obtaining the registration certificate will be required to be present for biometric attendance, photo verification, signature examination, and certificate collection.
