Weather: Chance of snowfall in highlands, fog in Terai



KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently experiencing a partial influence of westerly winds, leading to noteworthy changes in its diverse topography.

The Terai region is enveloped in fog and mist, creating atmospheric conditions that significantly differ from the mountainous terrain.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, there is a likelihood of light snowfall at isolated locations in the high hills and Himalayan areas of the Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali regions today.

On Friday afternoon, the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces will witness partly cloudy conditions.

The rest of the country will have generally clear weather, with no significant disturbances.

Tonight, there will be a partial shift in weather patterns in the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

Additionally, the Division has suggested a possibility of light snowfall at isolated spots in the high hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces during the night.

Looking ahead to Saturday, the forecast indicates a continued possibility of snowfall in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, accompanied by partial weather changes.
