Unified Socialist party holding Secretariat meeting today

KATHMANDU:  A Secretariat meeting of the Unified Socialist is taking place today.

The party has called the meeting of its Secretariat to deliberate on key issues such as the National Assembly election and the statute amendment draft.

The meeting is scheduled to take place at the party’s central office in Aloknagar, this afternoon.

In the aftermath of CPN-UML’s quest for a share in the National Assembly, the Unified Socialist has called for a Secretariat meeting.

Sources indicate that today’s discussions will focus on the party’s potential gains within the ruling coalition and address the demands put forth by UML.

Following attempts by Nepali Congress and Maoist Center to involve UML in the National Assembly, Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal expressed his discontent during yesterday’s alliance meeting.
