Weather: Low pressure impacting eastern, central regions



KATHMANDU: Monsoon conditions are currently affecting the country, with a partial impact from a low-pressure system forming near southwest Bangladesh, particularly in the eastern and central areas.

As of Friday morning, the Koshi and Bagmati provinces are experiencing partly to mostly cloudy skies.

According to the Weather Forecast Division, the rest of the country remains mainly clear.

Light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is occurring in several areas of the Koshi and Bagmati regions.

Today, the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are likely to expect partly to mostly cloudy weather, while the remainder of the country is anticipated to remain mostly clear.

In the afternoon, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as isolated spots in the other provinces.

The Division has warned that heavy rain may occur in one or two locations in Koshi province.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy across the country.

The bulletin issued by the Division on Friday morning indicated a likelihood of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with isolated spots in the remaining provinces.
