Nepal to be reelected as Chair and Bhusal as General Secretary, party yet to decide on Senior Vice Chairman

KATHMANDU: Madhav Kumar Nepal is poised to be reelected as the Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist).

The party has also reached an agreement to elect Ghanshyam Bhusal as the General Secretary.

The party is currently holding its 10th convention in Kathmandu.

However, the position of Senior Vice Chairman remains undecided.

Rajendra Prasad Pandey is a strong contender for the Senior Vice Chairman post, representing the group led by Nepal.

Prakash Jwala, representing the group led by Bhusal and Jhalanath Khanal, is also vying for the position.

With Nepal’s reelection as Chairman, Bhusal and Khanal have demanded the Senior Vice Chairman post.
